Connect a Type-C-enabled PC or Mac laptop to monitors and displays with an HDMI port with the AmazonBasics Type-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter. Simply connect one end of the adapter to the Type-C port on a compatible computer and the other end to an HDMI cable (not included).
Simultaneously, the adapter’s USB-A port and Type-C port can be used for charging and connecting compatible devices and peripherals. The Type-C port also allows for pass through charging to power a PC/Macbook laptop, supplying power up to 60W (20V / 3 Amps).
The adapter comes equipped with three multi-functional ports:
1. Type-C port connects and charges compatible devices and peripherals; also allows for pass through charging to power a PC/Macbook laptop - supplies power up to 60W (20V / 3 Amps).
2. HDMI port supports up to 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz) enabling clear audio and video.
3. USB-A port to connect and charge compatible devices and peripherals; fast USB data-transfer speed of up to 5.4 Gbps; maximum current output of .9 Amps.
The AmazonBasics adapter supports USB 3.1 on full-featured platforms and devices and is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0. In order to achieve the USB 3.1 data-transfer speed (up to 5.4 Gbps), the in-use computer, peripherals, cable, and software must support USB 3.1.
The AmazonBasics Type-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter is compatible with Windows 10/8.1/8, Mac OS 10.0 and Chrome. Weighing just 1.62 ounces, the adapter measures 2.32 by 1.89 by 0.39 inches.
